Period Power Core Volunteer

Period Power Core Volunteer

4 Core Volunteers Needed

Location:
Diaper Bank of North Carolina Warehouse
437 Dimmocks Mill Road, Suite 1 Hillsborough, NC 27278

Description:
Join us in getting period products to students across North Carolina! Diaper Bank of NC’s Period Power program serves more than 700 schools statewide — and we need your help packing and preparing orders for distribution.

Purpose:
At DBNC, we believe period supplies are school supplies. By helping assemble and organize Period Power orders, you’ll be part of a movement to make sure every menstruating student has what they need to stay in school, participate fully, and thrive.

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Period Power Core Volunteer, you will:
- Assemble bulk period supply kits for schools and community partners
- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup
- Help organize and restock inventory in the Period Power zone of our warehouse
- Support a positive and welcoming environment for all warehouse visitors
- You’ll work alongside DBNC staff and other volunteers. No leadership experience required —
just a commitment to consistency, equity, and teamwork.

Time Commitment:
2–4 hours per week on Mondays and/or Tuesdays

Ideal commitment:
Full academic year (August–May), but we’re happy to work with your availability

What to Expect:
- Our warehouse is a dynamic, working space — it is not heated or air-conditioned
- Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing
- You should be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- All Core Volunteers will receive a brief orientation at their first shift
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older, or accompanied each time by an adult

Vibe:
- Supportive, energized, and community-driven.
-We take the work seriously — but ourselves, not so much.
