Diaper Bank of North Carolina in need of volunteers to help flooding victims
HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Diaper Bank of North Carolina is working to ease the load for families who lost everything in recent flooding brought on my Tropical Storm Chantal.
The Hillsborough-based non-profit is working with other grassroots organizations to connect with families who need help.
The Diaper Bank is distributing diapers, feminine hygiene products, adult supplies, and even baby food.
"These supplies are everyday items that families need, but when there's a disaster, they get a heightened increase in need. So we're working with them every day. So far, we've distributed 126,000 diapers to just the Triangle area alone," said Mia Kuykendall, volunteer director with the Diaper Bank.
